Hi! I’m Shannon Pauwels.

Before becoming a wife and mom, I graduated from Butler University and worked for several years as a Software Support Analyst and Trainer. After getting married and having my first child, I made the decision to step away from my career and be home full-time with our growing family. Those 16 years as a stay-at-home mom were some of the most challenging, beautiful, and rewarding years of my life.

As my kids got older and more independent, I started feeling the pull to do something just for me—something that let me contribute financially and reconnect with my own passions. Around that time, my oldest began struggling with acne. As a naturally-minded mom, I tried everything I could find online—DIY remedies, holistic approaches, you name it—but nothing seemed to help. That experience opened the door to a whole new world for me and sparked a deep interest in skincare, especially acne and aging skin.

I decided to go back to school and earned my Esthetics license from Aveda Fredric's Institute. My goal at the time was simple: help my son. Along the way, I discovered Face Reality and became a Certified Acne Specialist. I fell in love with the science behind skincare and the power it has to truly change how someone feels about themselves. I’ve continued to study, research, and stay up-to-date on the best treatments available—because I genuinely love learning and want to give my clients the very best.
