My name is Shannon Pauwels.
Before becoming a wife and mother I graduated from Butler University and worked for several years as a Software Support Analyst and Software Trainer. After getting married to my husband Jim and getting pregnant with our first child, I "retired" and lived my life as a stay-at-home Mom for 16 years, which so far has been the hardest and most rewarding job I have ever had.

As the children got older I became interested in helping provide for our family and having something for myself. Also, at the same time my oldest started having problems with Acne. I'm one of those natural Mom's that tried everything I could find on the internet to help him but had no luck. It's because of this that I became interested in skin care for acne and for my own aging skin.

I decided to get my license in Esthetics and studied at Aveda Fredric's Institute. After receiving my license I made it my mission to find a way to clear my son's acne. After much research, which I love to do, I found Face Reality and became a Certified Acne Specialist. I love to continue to learn about acne as well as all the new and wonderful Anti-aging facial treatments which are my specialty.
